Care & maintenance
These are general tips. Your stylist's aftercare instructions come first.
Washing
- Use gentle products your stylist approves, and keep heavy oils and conditioners away from bonds or tape.
- Wash with your head upright rather than tipped forward, and don't scrub the attachment points.
- Dry the roots and bonds fully. Don't go to bed with damp attachments.
Brushing
- Brush from the ends up while holding the hair near the root.
- Use a soft brush that won't snag on the attachments.
Heat & styling
- Use heat protection and moderate temperatures, and keep hot tools off the bonds and tapes.
Sleep, sport & swimming
- Sleep with a loose braid or ponytail, and try a silk pillowcase.
- Before swimming, braid your hair, then rinse out chlorine or salt water soon afterwards.
Maintenance visits
Book check-ups and re-application with a certified stylist at the intervals they recommend. Don't remove the extensions yourself.
